What the KBC Banka has done for your safety

- KBC Banka applied the leatest security standards to ensure a fast and secure way you execute your transaction using the Online Banking or eBanking application.
- The connection with Online Banking or eBanking site is established via secure connection. Any data that you send or receive from the bank is encrypted, which ensures that only you can read your information from KBC Banka.
- KBC Banka will automatically disconnect you from the Online Banking site, if your connection is idle for a few minutes. This is a protective measure, if the user forgets to log out.
What you can do?
- Protect your computer with antivirus software. Antivirus software must be regulary updated and you need to run full system scan periodically.
- Protect your computer with firewall from unwanted external access.
- Protect your computer with anti-spyware software and use spam filter to protect your mailbox from unwanted email spam.
- Regularly update your operating system with new security patches.
- Regularly backup your data.
- Lock and turn off your computer.
Turn off the computer if it will not be used for a long time, especially if computer is connected to internet all the time, it may be vulnerable to attacks. If you leave your computer "for 5 minutes", lock your computer to prevent unauthorized access to your data.
- Take care of your passwords.
Never use passwords which are easy to gues. Do not leave your passwords on easily accessible places. Your password should be strong, with minimum seven characters. Recommended strong password should be a combination of capital and small letters and numbers.
- Never disclose confidential personal information. KBC Banka will never ask you to provide such information via e-mail, telephone, etc...
- Be very careful when using eBanking service on unknown computer such as internet cafe. Check if option for automatic saving of passwords is checked, change the secret password when you return home, and avoid using eBanking service from other person’s computers.
- Never use option to save your username and password on operating system, web browser or in applications.
- Access internet banking only from KBC Banka’s main site (never by clicking the link from the e-mail of unknown sender), and if you have any doubts about the site’s validity, check the address in address bar of your internet browser (it should start with https://).
- Every system maintenance is announced in advance. There are no unannounced security checks.
